My faith looks up too thee

I’s funny, when people learn of my beliefs they associate it with religion. I don’t like the word “religion.” It’s a very broad term for just one thing; faith.Let’s break the two words down.
Religion is only what we as people have made up in order to worship God. I have found that many people hide behind their religion. Sometimes we think that being a religious person and never missing church is the answer to Heaven. But that is not it. James 1:26 (KJV) says, “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this mans religion is in vain.”

Faith; That’s different. To me faith is when we don’t necessarily have all the answers, but we know there is a God that does. We weren’t made to know it ALL. If we did, we would be like God, but we are not. Hebrews better explains it in verse 1 of chapter 11 (KJV).”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” And also let’s look at verse 3 of that same chapter:”Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Sometimes it’s hard to really grasp faith. I look back down at my life and seen where my faith didn’t come into play. But you know, the older I get the more I realize that faith is the ONLY thing I need. I don’t need to go to a priest and ask forgiveness. I don’t have to do some ritual to get God’s attention. I was on God’s mind when he gave his son on the cross. You were on God’s mind when he selflessly gave his son on the cross. So why do we think now we have to conjure up something in order to have God’s attention and love? All he ask us to do is believe, have faith and we can move the mountains. Matthew 17:20, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain..” You practice your religion on Sundays, but have you practiced your faith lately?
